You might say that this project was for our longest ongoing client! Founder Dale Gruber needed a major remodel for his residence, and there’s only one company he’d trust with the job. The kitchen, dining room, living area and bathroom were all redesigned and updated. Additional spaces elements were constructed for the patio, garage, and laundry/mudroom.

For this extensive remodel, the Dale Gruber Construction team focused on utilizing as many of the existing elements as possible while modernizing the layout and design. New finishes and fixtures were added throughout the residence, including new quartz countertops in the kitchens and bathrooms, updated flooring, and a house-wide conversion to LED lighting.

Comprehensive Construction

Some new construction was necessary to bring the client’s vision for the remodel to life. Our team built a patio featuring AZEK pavers above the garage, accessible from the residence’s interior breakfast nook. Below, a tuck-under garage was built for use as the client’s workshop space, and stairs were added to connect the garage to the basement. Inside the home, the living room was remodeled and transformed with new cabinetry around the cozy fireplace. We added a convenient walk-up wet bar near the breakfast nook, and built an entry area for the mudroom, bathroom and laundry room. A new 3-season porch was built off the owner’s suite — that lucky guy!

Challenges Overcome

Of course, this client had very high standards and expectations of our crews, but that’s nothing we’re not used to! We were excited to rise to the challenge of providing Dale with a cohesive, updated design that functioned seamlessly within the residence’s original construction.
